PDPA Scholarship & Coaching

PDPA Scholarship:

In 2016 the JDC & the PDPA launched the PDPA Scholarship programme which enables 3 JDC players to play on the PDC Development Tour in the following season with all entry fees paid by the PDPA, the 3 players who earned the scholarship win all their entries into every PDC Development Tour event for that season.

Riley Rees-Tucker, Henry Coates and Leighton Bennett won these for 2023, we look forward to seeing all three on the Development Tour and following their progress.

There is also a new PDPA Tour Training Zone via the JDC

PDPA Coaching Badge

NOTE: More information will be added when ready, this programme is currently on hold.

The Darts Coaching Qualification was originally run via the Junior Darts Corporation as well as associated with the PDPA & DRA - and although it is aimed at individuals who wish to run an academy after successful completion and a DBS check, we will look at the potential of this being offered to professional dart players or ex-professional dart players who are looking to stay involved in our sport.

This current version is looking at being spread over 3 levels, with the first being very basic to the third focusing on the professional dart player and allowing them to achieve their full potential.

On completion of the Level 1 coaching course and evidence of the completion of a first aid course and a clear DBS check you will be advised to join the coaching register.

Benefits of joining the coaches register.

  • Membership to a fast-growing community
  • A shared space to discuss and share ideas.
  • Regular updates on changes and developments in darts
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Yearly conference to network with like-minded individuals
