PDPA Full Membership & The PDC/Players Contract:
The PDPA would accept a Tour Card Resignation at any point of the season, noting that all membership benefits would cease from the point we reply and confirm your resignation.
However, your PDC Contractual Agreement has legal ties so please note the following.
Following the final Tour Event (PDPA WC Qualifier) The PDC would accept the expiry date of the contract/agreement as being 30 days following the confirmation that they will not be in the Top 64 of the Order of Merit (or other such position as would entail them winning/retaining a Tour Card) for the following year and then failed to regain their Tour Card for the following year (through Q School). In the current context, that would be 30 days following the PDPA World Championship qualifier – if the player does not attend Q School, and 30 days following their elimination from Q School if they do.
So to briefly evaluate:
Player not going to Q School > exited from contract 30 days after last event.
Player going to Q School > exited from contract 30 days following elimination from Q School.
If you wish to resign prior to the end of the season the PDPA would accept this in writing and your Tour Card Membership will cease 30 days from the last event you played in, in conjunction with your PDC contract timeline as above.
