Registration on the day
Anybody not registered by 11.00 BST will be omitted from the PDC Winmau World Youth Championship Last 128 (and replaced where possible by the next-ranked player from the final 2025 Development Tour Card Order of Merit).
Start Time: 30 minutes after the draw has been posted in the venue
Format:
The Group Stage will be 32 groups of four players. Group matches will be the best of nine legs, and the top two from each group will progress to the Knockout Stage,
which will be played from the Last 64 onwards. In the Group Games, two points will be awarded for a win, and no points are awarded for a defeat.
Should there be a three-way points tie in any group after the round-robin games have been played, these would be split as follows:
Total Leg Difference
Total Legs Won
Total Legs Won Against Throw
Highest Total Overall Average
Highest Winning Match Average
If players cannot be split after the above criteria has been applied, a play-off will be organised between the respective players.
The Last 64 onwards will be played in a knockout format over the best of 11 legs, with the draw bracket made based on the standard seed positions in the 32 groups. Play will be down to the final, which will be held on Sunday November 23 in Minehead, between the semi-finals and final of the Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals.
There will be 32 players seeded for the Group Stage. Any players from the Werner Rankings Ladder will be the highest seeds (in Werner Rankings Ladder order), with further seedings allocated based on the final 2025 Development Tour Order of Merit
Players are permitted one, non-transferable guest per player (Excluding DRA Registered Managers). Guests must be aged 16 or above (ID may be required) and be genuinely linked to the player who they are a guest of.
All guest names should be submitted to the security desk on your arrival.
Players are reminded that under DRA rules, they are responsible for the conduct of their guest at all times. Going forward, if the above is not observed we may revert to DRA Managers only.
Incentives:
- The World Youth Championship starts at the Last 128 round and is comprised of a maximum of 32 invitations, plus any players who under rule 6.2 have qualified by virtue of holding a Tour Card with all remaining places up to 128 being taken from the final 2025 Development Tour Order of Merit, using count-back as per rule 3.2 if required to determine positions.
The World Youth Championship is played over the best of nine legs for group stage matches and the best of 11 legs for the knockout stage. The group stage will consist of four players per group. The full format will be confirmed in due course.
The World Youth Championship will include 32 seeds, being based on the Main Order of Merit with the remaining positions based on the final 2025 Development Order of Merit, and will be played down to a Final. The Final will then be scheduled during a PDC Premier or Invitational Event at a later date (expected to be at the 2025 Players Championship Finals).
Marking:
All games will be scored using the DartConnect scoring system on a tablet. Players can view the DartConnect scoring system via www.dartconnect.com, and should a player want to trial this in advance a free trial can be arranged via the PDPA.
The Development Tour events will operate on a ‘loser marks’ basis. Additionally, the first game on each board will be marked by the last player drawn onto that board. Any players who do not mark are subject to disciplinary action and could be eliminated from the event or be denied entry to future events.
The PDC will be providing markers for the World Youth Championship on Monday, meaning that players will not be required to mark unless there are insufficient markers available to cover all boards, in which case the Tournament Director will advise players on the marking system in place.
